SOME OF HIGHLIGHT FEATURES

Draft Survey - SmartCAL-Load offers comprehensive, reliable, and accurate results for your draft surveys. Once the Ship's Particulars and Hydrostatic table has been entered accordingly, all you need to do is input the data in yellow cells. Report forms can be exported as PDF files or printed for documentation, filing, and exchanging data with other parties. You even may export or print the individual report (Initial Draft Survey Report, Interim/Trimming/Draft Check Report, and Final Draft Survey Report) or Initial and Final Report in a single form.

Determine the unknown draft(s) at one side using the list and or level hose with the aid of the included program.
 
The user can also store, import, and export the draft survey files locally and can be recalled for reference.

 

Auto & Manual Trimming - compute your trimming cargo figures by Target Draft, Total Target Cargo, and even Manual Trimming by Your Own Figure by simply entering the required data in yellow text boxes and click the cargo hold number of the desired trimming holds. This feature uses the LCG Method for calculation. You may also adjust the LCG of each hold by estimating the offset from the center of the hold (in meters -/+) if the trimming cargo will not be poured in the center of the hold.

Avoid Overdraft - Load your cargo to your required Loadline Draft and calculate the Dock Water Allowance (DWA) including sag/hog effect easily by simply clicking the appropriate Loadline Draft Limit.

Resultant Drafts will be depicted as Drafts in Perpendiculars and Draft at Draft Marks.

Print the computation result for your reference to determine the Change of Trim (CoT) and monitor the expected drafts per pour.

Trimming Using Trim Table - compute your trimming cargo figures by Target Draft, Total Target Cargo using the ship's trimming table, or by calculated Change of Trim using the compartment's LCG and hydrostatic data interpolation that is also easily computed with this utility. 

​

The Resultant Drafts will be depicted as Drafts in Perpendiculars and Draft at Draft Marks.

In some instances, your calculation or even the Change of Trim per 100 Tonnes may differ from the cargo surveyor, you utilize the manual data entry of Change of Trim (CoT) by clicking the appropriate textbox to enable this function. This allows you to double-check your figure with the cargo surveyor for discrepancies. 

​

In this utility, you have the option to apply the density correction if you are using the automatic calculation of CoT using the hydrostatic table you have entered on the Hydrostatic Table sheet. This will ensure the accuracy of the cargo to load due to the fact that the trimming by the trim table is only best for use in freshwater density.

​

For your reference, the Trim Table per draft for each compartment is also available to be utilized and for double-checking. The figures showed in this interpolation utility is calculated using the compartment's LCG and Hydrostatic Data.

Deadweight Calculation - as soon as we received voyage instructions from the charterers/owners the first thing we as a Cargo Officer is to calculate the maximum loadable whether it is in compliance with the specific draft (Load and Discharge Port), a specific quantity of cargo or even moloo. SmartCAL-Load Deadweight Calculation will calculate the maximum allowable cargo if known data like water density of the target draft and deductibles including ship's constant are available. Dock Water Allowance (DWA) utility is also included in this program to help you obtain the loadable draft to a specific water density. After you have computed your maximum loadable and booking cargo you may send the data to Stowage Plan.

Cargo Planner - this utility will help to distribute your cargo to be loaded evenly as your starting point thus when you are working on your ship's loading computer you have the reference point and can easily be adjusted to you desire trim and lessen the stress of your ship. It can also work in multiple grades of cargo whether it is mineral or grain bulk.

Stowage Plan - ship form can be used in Pre-Stowage Plan and Final Stowage Plan. This form automatically changes according to the entered data on Ship's Datasheet. It has a feature to import data from your Final Draft Survey Report, Deadweight Calculation, and Cargo Breakdown. You may also use the included error indicator to detect and highlight the error from your entered data. The form can be printed and exported as PDF for data exchange and filings.

Load/ Disch Sequence - prepare your loading or discharging sequence with ease using these forms. You will no longer need to compute the cargo balance per sequence as the value of your cargo balance will appear in the Cargo Balance and Comment section. Your vessel's Air Draft will be shown per hatch in the Air Draft Calculation section and the highlighted value can be sent into the form. It also features the error checking for Cargo Quantity and completed Cargo Holds. The incomplete holds and each cargo quantity remaining to be loaded or discharged will be indicated for your attention. The prepared SEQUENCE can be printed in greyscale or in color, exported into PDF, and Excel (.xlsx) format. Exported excel format gives you the freedom to edit the form appearance to your liking.

Ballast & Fresh Water Tank Sounding - Once this is set-up correctly and the tank table has been entered to its designated tank sheet, you will appreciate the advantage of this program and will calculate your ballast and freshwater sounding swiftly and accurately.  Adjust the form according to the number of tanks you would like to appear in the form and the applicable corrections available in the settings.

 

In Ship-specific form, you may visually analyze the volume and weight of your ballast and freshwater easily by the provided graphs.

This utility can be used even if you don't have the Ballast and Fresh Water Sounding Table entered in this program yet. Just click in the "settings" in the form and chose the Non-Ship-Specific and the form will change. You may now then start entering the data in the interpolation section manually and send the data to the selected tank.

Forms can also be exported as PDF files or printed for your perusal.

Download Ships Database from the Cloud - User can now download all available ships from database cloud server and save to it to the desired location. Ship's data can easily be imported into the program by simply selecting the ship's name from the database listbox and clicking the Import Ship button.
 
Import/Export UserData - All inputted value in all forms in these programs can now be imported/exported. This is useful when migrating existing data to a newer version of SmartCAL-Load if there is any update release. Registered devices in SmartCAL-Load is also included so that the user should only register the new version update in one device & it can be used to all devices that has been already registered.

Registered Devices List - This utility gives the user the ability to see the list of registered devices in SmartCAL-Load and manage it before exporting the UserData.

Check latest version - Users can quickly check the latest version release update by clicking the update button.  

Upload your Ship's Data to the Cloud - The users can now upload the current ship data entered in the SmarCAL-Load into the Cloud server. This functionality will also serve to back your file to the cloud that can be easily downloaded anytime. It will also help further expand the number of ship's data in the cloud server.

Built-in Ship's Database browser - SmartCAL-Load 3.0 has a built-in browser dedicated solely to browsing and downloading the ship's data. This browser helps the user quickly find the desired ship with the "Find Ship" button rather than the typical or common browser which sometimes doesn't support the find/search functionality.
 
Find & Download specific Ship's Data - The user can now download a single specific ship's data by clicking the Find button and simply double-clicking the ship's name that appears on the Listbox.

Access the Database Anytime - The button to access the Cloud Database is provided so that the users can check if the desired ship or the uploaded ship's data has already been synced to the cloud.
